Pavitra Khanapur joined PhotoECLab as a PhD student in May 2026. Her research focuses on advanced electrocatalysts for the oxygen reduction reaction (ORR), with particular emphasis on exsolution-driven active-site engineering in functional oxide materials. She employs materials synthesis, electrochemical characterization, and in situ/operando synchrotron techniques to investigate catalyst formation and reaction mechanisms for energy conversion and storage applications.
